    I understand you want to communicate with your readers, but this whole ‘conversation has left the building’ problem is hardly new. Do you think people posting research papers and other articles online were able to find, and engage in, every single conversation that took place in forums, usenet, IRC, etc?

    I personally enjoy it for bringing me relevant information from the individuals I care to listen to and letting me ‘like’ and ‘comment’ on that without having to open FriendFeed in a browser.
